How can I get a free cell phone by complaining?

I've heard that if you call your service provider and complain a lot they can send you free stuff to keep you as a customer. I have a phone whose battery is kaput, the problem is that it is a discontinued handset and they no longer sell the battery on their website. How can I twist this when I call their customer service so I can get a free phone? Seriously! It's worth a try!

1. Go into your service provider's store, and if they can't fix it, they replace it.
2. Um.......... Well why don't you just tell them that the your phone bill accidentally was marked too high and that you will switch companies and tell them that you will tell all your friends to switch companies or something.
